Welcome to Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System and thank you for your interest in this important role,

I hope this recruitment site offers you an insight into the work of the ICS, our values and mission, and the tasks that lie ahead as we transition to becoming a statutory body in April 2022. Working closely with me, the Vice Chair will be the Non-Executive Lead for Freedom to Speak Up and will play a central role in the recruitment of other ICS Board members.  You will represent the ICS at regional and national events and develop relationships on behalf of the ICS as well as chairing the Audit Committee, requiring a finance qualification and recent experience in a financially focused leadership role.

Amongst our most immediate tasks will be the appointment of a senior team for the ICS and we are committed to building a diverse Board.  We will warmly encourage applications from people of all backgrounds to this role so that we can ensure a broad range of perspectives contribute to our strategic decision making.  If you bring experience of leading across multi-agency and professional boundaries, and of collaborative and stakeholder working, I hope you will consider this role.  We are open to applicants from all sectors who offer relevant finance and board experience gained in complex systems or organisations.

This is an excellent opportunity to use your skills and experience to make a difference to the lives of people in Birmingham & Solihull, and I look forward to your application.

Dame Yve Buckland
Chair
